The Castelnau is a real fortified village dating from 1143 AC – sleeping 86 guests within 16 carefully renovated houses. Able to host up to 200 guests, this special wedding venue allows the possibility to bring all your friends and family together and leave the outside world behind for a few precious days. Banquet Hall & Outdoor Spaces

The west side of the 17th century Monumental Stables (National Heritage) has been beautifully renovated into an incredible space for eating and entertaining – a large vaulted reception hall of 180sqm. It can comfortably seat 150 + guests for dinner leading out on to a huge terrace with stunning views which can hold a further 200 seated diners.

The Church

In the centre of the Castelnau there is a 13th Century church, carefully renovated, with a seated capacity of up to 180. Religious ceremonies are welcomed, permission must be sought from the local Parish and English and French speaking priests are possible.

Catering

Over the course of a wedding weekend, the dining and drinking will be an important part of your celebrations. We are proud to suggest our handpicked partners that will be presented to you by the Village Manager assigned for your wedding weekend. Partners that go above and beyond to serve inventive seasonal cuisine, with the experience and energy to feed up to 200 hungry guests.

From canapés to spit roasts, Gala dinners to interactive food festivals, our suggestions for catering partners will work closely with you to create bespoke menus to satisfy all your culinary wishes.

An incredibly unique and intimate venue in a truly stunning part of France. Castelnau des Fieumarcon fulfilled our dreams and more of having a weekend-long and outdoor celebration of our marriage surrounded by our closest family and friends enjoying good food and wine. The village and its houses are beautiful and provided a stunning backdrop to enjoy it all. The team were incredible from early planning to final execution of the weekend and worked tirelessly to ensure we had the most amazing few days. It will forever remain a special place and memory for us and our guests. This is an amazing, unique place and we could not recommend it more highly. We really loved our two week stay and found the team at Lagarde Firmarcon fantastic hosts – friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about what is an absolutely beautiful area. The village house we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, generously furnished with local antiques – and really clean. The views from every window are simply breathtaking. It came with a lovely private garden, with herbs and a pomegranate tree, but was right in the heart of the village near the pretty and ancient church. A stonesthrow away was the shady hillside pool with more stunning views of rolling fields of sunflowers – idyllic. We also appreciated the tips from Anneli and Nick about local places of interest, wine-tasting, nearby night markets and restaurants…but don’t miss the chance for a delicious meal or fun barbecue cooked by the team themselves, who are gifted chefs! We found this place exceptional and incredibly relaxing…the locals are very friendly, the countryside a feast for the senses and the village experience itself is truly magical – like stepping back in time, but with all the modern comforts, including good wi-if. We will return!

"Le lieu est magnifique, absolument incroyable: il s’agit d’un village forteresse reconstruit avec beaucoup de goût et de charme, et qui dispose d’une belle vue sur la campagne environnante. Cadeot est une des maisons de ce village. Elle dispose de beaucoup d’espace, d’une belle décoration et ces énormes murs de pierre la garde fraîche en été. Il n’y a pas de jardin mais la possibilité de profiter de tout le village. Anneli est une hôte souriante et disponible et également une excellente cuisinière qui vous régalera de ses plats dans son restaurant éphémère sur la terrasse de la forteresse. Un moment privilégié, un lieu hors du temps."

Whenever we looked around, there were always people working in the background, whether preparing and serving food, moving furniture, or answering questions. Nous avions choisi ce lieu car nous voulions que cet instant magique ne passe pas trop vite et que nous puissions profiter au maximum de nos amis et familles. De plus, je (la mariée) souhaitais faire découvrir et vivre le temps d’un week end, la beauté et le savoir vivre à la gersoise à tous nos invités qui n’étaient pas de la région. Presqu’un an après notre mariage, nous n’avons toujours pas les mots pour définir ce moment, tant il fut EXTRAORDINAIRE – au sens littéral du terme-. Le village, le lieu de réception et les maisons sont sublimes et l’équipe est généralissime.
