About Us
Castelnau des Fieumarcon is a fortified stronghold originally built over 800 years ago. The stronghold has been restored and today stands as an exclusive venue of 16 individual houses for guests, multiple gardens and terraces, a banquet hall and an open air chateau.
The village is a monument to Gascon architecture, filled with antiques and art. The once thriving medieval village has been brought back to life and today is an intimate and special place for celebrating the most precious of moments with the people you love. An award winning wedding venue, Anneli and her team work tirelessly to create the type of memories that last a lifetime.
From its elevated hilltop position, Gascon scenery flows as far as the eye can see in all directions, and within the walls, every corner of the village offers another place to explore, unwind and appreciate life.
With a scenic landscape taking you back to medieval times, The Castelnau is more than just a A 12th Century Village. It’s for your provate hire for family gatherings, group and business retreats, your holiday village fo rup to 80 guests onsite.

Village Outdoor Spaces
When you take over an entire village for your event, it is like creating your very own bubble for a few days. The Castelnau has multiple areas within that you can play with.
Each house has its own intimate garden and then there are the huge terraces with views of rolling fields bathed in sunshine; the striking open air chateau with bamboo and red walls; the ancient wedding tree and a tranquil swimming pool. The Castelnau is a giant playground for you to enjoy.
This A 12th Century Village, internationally renown as The Castelnau, is the perfect setting for any event that seeks a breathtaking experience immersed in privacy and fresh air.
Village Indoor Spaces
Whilst guests can enjoy the freedom to visit all of the houses and spend time with familiar neighbours, there are the larger indoor spaces that can also be used for bringing everyone together. The vaulted 180sqm banqueting hall that was once the 17th Century stable block when the village was a thriving Medieval hamlet is the perfect space for dancing late into the night or dining by candle light.
There is also a 13th Century Church in the centre of the village which can be used for your religious wedding ceremonies, with seating for up to 180 guests.

Accommodations
16 Houses within the village - 15 for rental for your guests
Each house has its own particular character whilst existing harmoniously within the village as a whole. There are houses who can sleep 16 guests and others who sleep only 3 but each will offer comfort and space to all who reside within.
Catering is a big deal when it comes to private events and we take our services seriously. At The Castelnau, our A 12th Century Village is an experience without compare as we guarantee to personalise everything towards your highest expectations.

Castelnau des Fieumarcon is situated in gastronomic Gascony, the land of foie gras, Armagnac, all things duck, and everything that is truly delicious.
 At the village we work with a handpicked selection of caterers who consistently deliver a wide repertoire and prices to suit every approach.

The emphasis is on seasonal, local produce, abundant in this rich area of France.
 Match local wines with canapés and food stands dotted around the gardens. Champagne and cocktails as the sun sets…

During your stay, immerse yourself in the delights of seasonal Gascon cuisine and let a selected catering partner, managed by your assigned Village Manager, organise your breakfasts, lunches, bespoke gala dinners, BBQs, brunches, picnics or buffets.
